Structural design, renovation and restoration of buildings, testing

Studio 36 deals with the structural design of new or existing civil buildings. All the activities that the studio puts in place are aimed at identifying the types and solutions that best meet the context or functional needs of the work to be carried out.

Studio 36 designs buildings in areas of high seismicity.

There are numerous consolidation, improvement or seismic adaptation interventions carried out on traditional masonry structures or on buildings built in the 60s and 70s in reinforced concrete.

In all the design interventions followed by the studio, techniques are often combined that allow the use and/or use of traditional materials (wood or steel) or innovative materials (fiberglass, carbon, PBO).

The STUDIO provides its customers with projects conducted with the help of instrumentation and software that are always adequate and updated to the latest regulatory indications.

Among the main services offered by the firm we find:

Our firm deals with the calculation of the seismic vulnerability of existing buildings. Through the “calculation” of seismic vulnerability, the level of resistance of a building in relation to the expected earthquake is determined.

Through the regulatory indications, a numerical value is determined that summarizes the resistance and displacement capacity of a house to the outbreak of an earthquake on that particular site.
