Thermography and non-destructive investigations

Some works carried out

Ing. Rossi has the level 2 certificate for Infrared Thermography for Industrial Plants – Civil and Artistic Heritage. (serial number: DTC-CND-A00015-21).
Thermography is capable of detecting any object with a temperature above zero. Thanks to our thermographic investigations, we are able to detect the electromagnetic waves emitted by any object and to observe aspects that cannot be seen with the naked eye and being “non-destructive”, it does not require invasive interventions such as coring, drilling or cutting.
It is an excellent tool for finding the causes of degradation due to infiltration, surface humidity, condensation, thermal bridges, etc.

The following are also carried out:

Measurement with thermohygrometers

Point measurements by means of contact or penetration thermohygrometers that allow the control of temperature and relative humidity.

Thermoflowmeter station

Analysis by means of the thermoflowmeter station, owned by the studio, which consists of detecting the thermal flux that crosses a continuum: it is a non-invasive and non-destructive diagnostic technique that allows, through measurements and calculations, to evaluate the operational thermal transmittance (U) of a given building component.

Trigger point

Measurements (of temperature and relative humidity) by means of "TRigger point" stations (measurements repeated at well-defined time intervals).

In addition, our studio offers a complete survey service both with traditional systems and by laser scanner with return of the point cloud and subsequent 3D reconstruction using a reverse engineering process. 3D reconstruction is carried out by means of 3D modeling for surfaces and BIM modeling.

The main advantage of laser surveying is that geometric information is much more significant and valuable than photographic mapping as it reproduces the topology of the object with extreme accuracy and in three dimensions, minimizing error.
